Among the local celebrations the most notable are the Festivity of the Christ of Los Dolores, on the Sunday following September 15 th, together with the huge gathering of the Grape Harvesting Festivity, an occasion in which the Tacoronte exquisite wine is the protagonist, it is a festivity of the exaltation of the earth featuring folklore dances and music recitals.

Other festivities are the Corpus Christi, with elaborate carpets made out of flowers, as well as the Carnival’s Small Piñata (Piñata Chica del Carnaval), in which one person with blindfolded eyes and a pole must break the “piñata” hanging over his or her head, from which presents will fall.
